The continuing economic downturn and funding cuts are creating a financial gap and putting pressure on Shasta Women’s Refuge’s ability to provide services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

For the price of one latte, or one lunch at a fast food restaurant, you can help Shasta Women’s Refuge provide high quality life saving services to victims. If 1,000 (or better yet - 2,000) Friends give $5 per month, we can continue our work to guarantee a safe place in our community for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

• Every day in Shasta County, 27 cases of domestic violence are reported to the police…and many more go unreported.
• The victims are children, women, men and the elderly.
• If the police are called and the victims need a safe place to go, they are taken to the Shasta Women’s Refuge.
• If a parent can find a way to escape an abuser and has nowhere to go, they can go to the Shasta Women’s Refuge.
• Imagine if there were no safe place to go! Women, children and, yes, even men are counting on our continued services to protect them from the ravages of domestic violence and sexual assault.
